Items that Cannot be Shipped

For purposes of security or government regulations, the following items cannot be shipped by The Packaging Store

• Ammunition
• Animals (alive) - check with air cargo at your local airport for information on animal transport.
• Bleach and ammonia
• Cigarette lighters with fluid/gas and lighter/gas
• Cleaning compounds
• Firearms – According to federal law, unless the firearm is an antique made before 1898, it may only be shipped under the following conditions:
  • From a licensed gun dealer, as the shipper, to a licensed gun dealer, as the consignee
  • From a police agency or to a police agency
  • With a traceable mode of shipping, with a signature required
  • Unloaded, meaning no ammunition
• Fireworks
• Flares and fuses
• Gasoline powered tools (with fuel)
• Hair spray or other products in pressurized cans
• Hazardous materials (anything combustible, corrosive, flammable or radioactive)
• Human remains
• Insecticides
• Liquor – depends on state regulations
• Matches
• Nail polish remover
• Paint, varnish, turpentine and paint thinner
• Perishable food
• Plants
• X-ray film
